Shifting Shores: The Cost of Coastal Change expands my earlier study of East Anglian cliffs to explore the human and physical consequences of coastal erosion. Through landscapes, portraits and photographs of sea defences, damaged property and altered spaces, the project examines how people live with a changing coastline. It considers what is lost, what is protected and how these changes affect people’s sense of home and belonging.

This ongoing project is being developed as part of my BA (Hons) Photography degree at the University of Suffolk. The work will continue to evolve through research, conversations with coastal communities and return visits to the locations photographed.
